Comments....

"Drumroots have a particular expertise for bringing world class artists together to create unforgettable events. As Manchester's leading West African drumming collective, they are well connected with the city's vibrant music scene, as well as having links with some of the most talented West African musicians and dancers. It was a combination of these two worlds that gathered at Trof (The Deaf Institute) in June this year. The atmosphere was special as all of the performers really communicated with the audience, encouraging active participation through singing and dancing. The night culminated in an electric set from Drumroot's performance group Tanante, who generated an amazing communal energy. It's rare to have the opportunity to be part of such quality inclusive music making with such a diverse range of artists, but Drumroots seem to bring this out in all of their events." Holly Marland (Knowledge Transfer Manager, Royal Northern College of Music)

"It was fantastic to have you at the show - we had a great response from the public and everyone was enjoying the drumming. The stage was uplifted and full of vitality - you all had a wonderful presence, and in addition I personally have found it a pleasure to work with you in the build up to the show. Your performance was fabulous, really energising and created a great buzz. It was fresh, wild and highly entertaining! You lifted the stage and you got feet dancing. Congratulations on such a wonderful performance and bringing something so vibrant to our event." Mind Body & Spirit Festival

"Tanante were a fantastic addition to the Tree-Athlon, they played at the beginning and end of the race and their energetic drumming really urged the runners on and put a smile on everyone's faces. The group also led two workshops which were attended by lots of people of different ages and were a great success. Your music is excellent and has an infectious rhythm that engages everyone who hears it and they are lovely, friendly people - book them for your event today!" Manchester Tree-Athlon

"Tanante were great at the launch! Great to have live music - it helped to create a real buzz and good atmosphere.  I would definitely consider having Tanante at other events." Voluntary Action Manchester

" Just a quick email from all of us...it was a tremendous feeling having such a network of support and guidance and we are forever endebted to you. The experience has been immense and invigorating and I take this opportunity to extend the gratitude to each and every one of you." Creative Leaders, Contact Theatre, Manchester

"It was an absolute pleasure to have Tanante at our event. Our members and visitors commented that it was the best social event we have had for a long time. The performance was a fitting finale and provided a glimpse into authentic African culture. The performance was exciting, energetic and tireless. The costumes were great and the traditional dancing at the end was appreciated. Thanks once again." Church of the Latter Day Saints, Rochdale
