"Drumroots have a particular expertise for bringing world class artists together to create unforgettable events. As Manchester's leading West African drumming collective, they are well connected with the city's vibrant music scene, as well as having links with some of the most talented West African musicians and dancers. It was a combination of these two worlds that gathered at Trof (The Deaf Institute) in June this year. The atmosphere was special as all of the performers really communicated with the audience, encouraging active participation through singing and dancing. The night culminated in an electric set from Drumroot's performance group Tanante, who generated an amazing communal energy. It's rare to have the opportunity to be part of such quality inclusive music making with such a diverse range of artists, but Drumroots seem to bring this out in all of their events."
