Fairly Traded Djembes Our fairly traded djembes are sourced for their quality. Hand carved drum shells are supplied direct from friends, teachers and wood carvers in West Africa, ensuring a fair deal. Some drums arrive ready to play, whilst others are sourced as shells - we then hand finish and skin each drum shell in the UK to a high standard, tuning each for optimum sound.
